"... While many people said they found the short an amusing way of addressing the issue of apathy towards climate change issues, others found it tasteless and unnecessarily violent ..."
And we know just what sort of people the *many people* who found it *amusing* are don't we?
"... The 10:10 team went on to pay tribute to the crew and cast who donated their time and equipment for free, and concluded: "At 10:10 we're all about trying new and creative ways of getting people to take action on climate change. Unfortunately in this instance we missed the mark. Oh well, we live and learn." ..."
What staggering arrogance! I'm sorry, but it's people like that that need blowing up, not the poor kids who got the questions wrong. It's the usual story from the eco-nutter-lefty-commie-barsteward brigade. They've lost the argument so it's 'do as we say or *face the consequences*.

Can't believe people are still so taken in that the councils managed to get the populus to do their own sifting for them before it gets to the tip.
Perhaps more distubing are the Toyota Prius and the Honda Insight.Just get a bike or the train if you hate the evil car principle so much!!!!!!!!

Although, still worthy of a complaint to the ASA and OFCOM. Viral or not - if its an advert in the public domain, the people campaigning it need to be held accountable.
The ASA or at least OFCOM shoud, in theory cover viral adverts as well....although they may need some prodding to pull their finger out.
Personally, I see the people who blow themselves up as martyrs for their cause, and should be hailed as heroes and given 72 virgins when they get to heaven. ....Oh, no wait.....

All this cut your carbon footprint Bollox has given me an idea.
I've just turned the heating on, and will take my 370Z out later and pollute the atmosphere with V6 exhaust gasses.

And isn't it ironic that they used multi-millionaire footballers (who tend to drive around in gas-guzzling Bentley Continentals) to present their case?

Yup, nearly 100 people may have given "their time and equipment to the film for free." but they probably generated quite a few carbons in doing so.

When, Oh When will people please cut the cr*p & get down to the real issue!!!!!!
THERE ARE TOO MANY PEOPLE ON THIS PLANET!!!!
Controlling the population explosion is the only safe, eco-friendly long-term solution.
Everything else is fixing the effect not the problem.

Where do you think I got the idea from
Seriously though, If you work back these problems they would be solved by having less people.
I don't know a good scheme to achieve this but the sooner the better.
Not an easy one & too long term & not a vote winner for the Government to deal with.As we know they avoid the difficult questions & particularly the difficult answers.
Funny how the Government used to think the the Green Party,Friends of the Earth,Green Peace, etc. where looked on as hippy freaks until they realised they could use their ideas as a revenue earner.

Let's start with benefits. All western countries with a welfare state need to limit benefits to the first two children born of any woman past a certain date (+10 months). Payments to the UN, EU and interest payments to the world bank should be mathematically connected to a countries population/land mass. Personal taxation should be increased (slightly) for each child born after the second for any individual, male or female.
Import taxation needs to be relative to weight and distance travelled, with a worldwide agreement. Given that the 15, JUST FIFTEEN largest container ships currently afloat contribute more pollution that ALL the worlds cars combined, then shipping needs to become a target, including pleasure and transport shipping. I can't comprehend how it is cheaper to buy butter from New Zealand than from 30 miles up the road !
That's a start, anyone want to continue.
