you sound as if you have the motivation which is the important thing, I think that every member here has the motivation to do the weights and cardio.
The real challenge is the diet.
There are a couple of good threads on PH re this, 60 day challenge etc. check them out.
I am trying currently, 5 weeks in and it is hard, good luck

Best off going to see the doc, for a check up & mention about gym use/plans etc.Don't drop too much calories & include a sharp increase in activeness.Cutting out pop & energy drinks ( fizzy/non fizzy ) is a good start.**** also is something to knock on the head. Also any food/drink with artificial sweetners in.If you see lots of E numbers etc ask yourself, why are they there in the first place ?.Don't consume soy/soya ( this is deadly toxins ) & multi vitamin tablets ( they are extremely dangerous ).Using your own instinct, you will know by a mention ( or reading ingredients) of a chemical you would not take it.

For me its easy , if i were able to keep a cordon blur cook and instruct 'him' to produce meals made for the finest ingredients to produce healthy meals i would be fit as a flea within a couple of months
Sadly i cant
Of course some exercise would help

easier to pick a sport you like and do that ... you then have more motivation ..
I enjoy indoor climbing, so going swimming and going the gym three times a week gives me more strength and a better more enjoyable climb ..
Another motivator for me is the top I wear for climbing, obviously it's quite tight so when I look at those crisps in work, or get offered a beer, I think how embarrassed I would be with even the smallest gut .. works well...

Stop smoking, eat less food and stick to the healthy stuff, you soon get used to it, and remain moderately active. Nothing wrong with a drink as long as you are sensible about it.

Or, as Ann Widdicombe said, 'Eat less, move about more'. Simples.

P.S. How's the TDCi, is it fixed ? And are they all driven by tanned muscle-toned hunks ?

I gave up drinking on work nights 18 months ago, and haven't lost one ounce! So that's bollocks for a start!

I only have one mid- morning, one mid-afternoon, and then one before bed. It's called 'grazing'!
