Can't believe I'm asking this, but with me being a daddy in July I've given looking a mods for my car a miss for a while...to look at pushchairs
Seen a nice Mamas+Papas Pliko Sport Travel System today £240, comes with a car seat for newborns that clips into the chair.
The car seat will do till its big enough for the Recaro I've got my eye on
Looks cool, took it for a spin round House of Frazer, seems to go well
Anyone got one of these?

I got a carry car seat type arrangement for the first 6 months, then into a Recarro for the car and a Baby Jogger which was pretty rare 5 years ago, but 3 wheelers are all the rage these days. These are great bits of kit for off tarmac as they have bike tyres so are more comfortable - they wil basically go anywhere you can walk - through forests, up and down stairs etc.
We also has a folding jobbie, a Comfi Mirage I think which was about £100 I think.
I know loads of people who bought fancy modular jhobbies and hardly used them !

Mega,
Got the Pilko system & the buggy is excellent & couldn't criticise it if I tried, it's light in comparison to others and IMHO better than the 3 wheelers as it's more manoeuvrable. (Although tyre bills are inevitably higher ) Didn't use the car seat on the buggy though, so could of gone for any other car seat.

Mega, have the look at the Brittax range if you're gonna be using the car seat. Around the same price but the car seat is much better for the baby (apparently). The M&P tend to make the baby sit up more thus putting unnecessary pressure on the spine (this is what we have been told). From looking at the various designs I would tend to agree. The one we're looking at is also a small/mid wheel design, 4 wheels at the front. Believe me, I tried them ALL out in the shop and this was the most manouverable. What BHP did that one come with??

mothercare do some good pushchairs with the car seats like the one in the piccy, we got one like that for our first child, cost was about £130 upwards (you can get more mods done with the change then).
you definetly need to get one with bigger wheels than that one though.
At the moment we're using the all singing, all dancing 3 wheeler one (youngest is now 16 months).
word of warning though, make sure it folds down and will fit in the boot......our three wheeler won't!!
any baby questions, mail me, if i dont know ill ask the wife
