blinin O2, whats the best deal you got out of them?
ANOTHER PHONE THREAD lol
I rang o2 this afternoon as my 18month contract ends at the end of the month,
at the mo paying just ovr £15pm for 200mins 500 tex and i think I have 1Mb of data.
best he now offer is free phone.. 300mins unlimited tex nd 500mb of data =£25!!! on 24month contract!!!
anyone got them to budge from that?
tesco do a better deal at £20 and 02 said they can't come down.
who's got the best deal on phone this month?
I would like to have free internet (and wifi so I can use that at home off my Broadband).
I think £20 pm is ample.
So who should I be ringing to get the best deal?

all depends who you speak to on the day, whether or not the customer advisor you speak to has money in their "pot" to give away.
I'd ring a few more times if you can be arsed with all the call centre bull sh*t
My contact up in January and I've recently claimed on my insurance and ended up with a brand new blackberry as they dont make my old one anymore, so i'll be going for tescos sim only... £10 a month, loads of calls, unlimited texts and 500mg data
... hopefully they still do it in a few months!

I've phoned about a new HD7 and been told £35 a month gives a free phone 600 mins any time any network, and 750Mb download (apparently all networks are limiting download on the HD7...)
at the moment I'm on a monthly contract (sim only) 1000mins, 1000 texts, unlimited internet for £20

I currently have a blackberry 9700 which was free, 200 mins, unlimited texts and 1gb data for £12 a month lol, on an 18 month contract.
Just been offered to upgrade another contract early. £90 for the phone blackberry torch 9800 and £20 a month which is BIS 1gb, 300 mins and 400 texts.
I agree though, it's who you speak to on the day

12/18 /24 month term, you keep the current terms, minutes data texts etc
When you upgrade, you get a new contract with new terms
i'll be losing my unlimited data when change in a few weeks

gonna say - bypass the upgrade monkeys and go straight for the "I'm leaving" option.
You get a MUCH better deal (should you decide to stay with them)

Ask for retentions. Got 800 mins, unlimited texts, 500Mb internet, unlimited landline and o2 calls for £30 with free phone.
Original call centre pleb was offering 300 mins and unlimited texts only for £30 and still wanted £59 for the phone. HTC Desire btw.

try here phill,
http://www.mobiles.co.uk/
good service, greta price, great selection. mrs got hers form there and no issues at all.
as far as switching, other than going to vodaphone which is an ****, its dad easy. your current provider legaly has to give you the PAC code for your number which can be taken to other company.

02 gave me the PAC code over the phone -- then you call your new provider, and it takes abour 48 hours
(that was PAYG - to Tesco monthly contract)

Watch it with the PAC code. I got mine and then starting looking for a deal and took my time. They then rang me up asking why I had not used it yet and it was going to expire, WTF might be nice to advise that! Anyway I was not going to be rushed into anything and it did expire and they got really ar$ey with me to get another PAC code. I think rather than give it to me over the phone I had to write to them and they wrote back Things might be different now as it was years ago and this was Orange.

PAC lasts 28 days, then they disgard the cancellation attached to the PAC, and either continue the contract or end it and lose the number.
The way Orange work is if you use the PAC within 28 days they take that as notification of cancellation. They should advise you of the expiry though.

o2 are getting on my goat. Soon I'll be out of contract and I was looking at keeping with my iPhone.
On o2 on contract its £299 + 18 months at £35 a month.
Yet if you buy the phone from apple, its ....
£500 for the phone and on simplicity (the same freaking tarrif) 12 months at £15 a month.

£7.50/Month for 600 minutes, unlimited texts, 1GB internet, free Vodafone to Vodafone calls, Passport, free WiFi.
For all tariffs, if you can't manage to sweet talk the girls on the phone, you'd be pretty daft to not go through Quidco.

Or more in the case of a decent phone.
I get to choose when I want a new phone and not when I have to. This stops continually having to pay a stupid overpriced tariff, month after month because they can use the 'free' phone upgrade as leverage to claim you're getting a decent deal.
Personal use of course.
