I got the impression my ex-neighbours were (some time back in my 30's..... even found myself contemplating the whole dynamics of it (his mrs was fit).... then he made some sexual remarks to my girlfriend (now ex)...and I realized I was seriously not the swinging type..ie I hate sharing

If you have been together for a long time, and you are both happy and confident within the relationship then great.
I think that if you have or have had trust issues in the past it can rake up a few emotional problems.
As much as this type of thing is supposed to be just physical, the human brain doesn't always do what you want it too.
There is a swingers place near me, and suprisingly the setting is lovely. Nice little country house hotel. A bit more organised than throwing your keys in a bowl.
I think for some people it can be a lot of fun, and if you have been quite sexually experienced and enjoyed playing the feild, I suppose it might be something else to try. For me though, sex with a stranger wouldn't ring my bell.

classic Subaru Si...
Odd - don't think I'd be happy to watch some bloke plough my bird!

I actually fully agree with the above statement, really do not like the thought of someone else doing ANYTHING whatsoever of that nature with my long-term Girlfriend...
which is why it always helps to stay friends with the very experimental ex!!!

I don't think anyone under the age of 40 would swing, surely before then there is still plenty to get up to with your Mrs without needing to go elsewhere.
It's only when you have been together a fair few years that things *might* get a bit stale.

Haha, I'm no miss innocent!
Brad Pitt and Vin Deisel aside..... I know of people that swing, and I think the average age seems 55. So unless Michael Douglas is or Madge is on anyones list I can't see it appealing to younger couples. And no I'm not saying 40 is old.
I'm sure there are exceptions though, as there are with everything.
