Been meaning to get some for myself and possibly gfriends use ( afro ) so was thinking these
- is this more than i need to spend , dont want to be throwing them out after a couple years

you can get a set from boots for just shy of a tenner, but don't do it. I once confused a number three with a 3mm blade. Thought I was going to have to join NF to fit in

Wherever you get them, try to look at hairdresser supply stores or online beauty supply shops as the ones you can buy in Boots / Argos are never strong enough and are feeble compared to more professional ones and not always that much cheaper.

+1 for the Wahl sets

Before i went hardcore (BIC) i used the wahl set, still going strong after 5 years

Mind you theyve sat in the box for 2 of those years ,and will prolly remain

there lol, just remember to clean and oil them

Another for Wahl, had mine for 17 years and still going strong. Bought cheap ones as spare and they are very poor conpared to the Wahl clippers.

Pay a bit more and get the best.
