Wink Any Teachers?

Any Teachers on here?

How do you find it?

This is a bit of a light hearted thread but I am still in a tiny part of my mind considering a career change in say 3 to 4 years.

Can you still drive a Scoob as a Teacher?

Can you get drunk?

Can you speed?

The interweb offers opportunities to talk very freely.

You think Jacko whatshisname talks about his swinging at work?

Does Trout bore clients with 911's?

Does Pslewis brag about his diesel hatch to all and sundry?

Yes, but that doesn't mean having a different persona.

Be a Teacher?

Get some training in first!!!

1. Start working 26 hours a week ....... think you can manage it?

2. Take a week off every 4 weeks ... call it half term or something ... struggling?

3. Take an annual payrise up a payspine, worth 4% a year, every year ... keeping up?

4. Complain about the annual payrise of 2.8% as a disgraceful amount - carefully forgetting to mention the pay spine rise above! Can you? Can you?

5. Take charge of the School NoticeBoard and receive a TLR Payment of £2500 a year.

6. Take charge of the NoitceBoard AND the Bikesheds and receive a TLR Payment of £6500.

7, Receive an annual salary of £35,000 + TLR Payments ..... act like a Head of Drama with 2 staff and award yourself £50,000 a year!!

Only if you can do the above without blinking, with the ability to plead that you are hard done by and still hold your head up when on the beach for 6 weeks in the summer while others are working proper hours ....... then, and only then, can you be considered good enough!!

Do you feel lucky, well do you?

What Pete has forgotten though is that
1. It's a P1SS easy job
2. YOu'll also get a nice welcome cash bundle for becoming a teacher too
3. You won't need to do any prep, because it's so easy.

There is a downside - you'll find that dole-munching chav-scum will receive more respect than a teacher. Just the way society is these days.

You'll be able to run your Scoob, and spend a fortune keeping it clean due to spit, and vandalism.

But for what it's worth - this chap tends to sum it up perfectly

From what you've written dont go in to teaching. Its very obvious those that teach because they have a desire to and those that do it because they leave uni with a geography degree or similar and havent got the first clue about how to use it so go in to teaching. When you have a responsibility to so many children/teenagers its not something that should be chosen halfheartedly.

So you feel your real personality is a disappointment and so have to adopt and different one on the web? Or are you frustrated by the fact that you don't have the courage to say what you feel in real life, and so have to adopt this odd persona on the web.

Is this why when you get the merest hint on here that someone has money you will accuse them of being vulgar and tacky, lacking class?

I'll just tell you what my wife's view of your post is:

It's people like you that education is battling against becoming part of governing bodies!!!

You obviously have no understanding of what the job entails and are only part of a governing body as a huge power trip.

The hours, salary and "holidays" are not even close to what you have described. Do you think there would be a teacher shortage if this was the case?

I would like to find out which governing body you have been elected onto as I'm sure they would be very interested to read some of the rubbish you have been posting on here about the teaching profession. I feel sure your services would no longer be required once we find out which school you represent. You should be totally ashamed of yourself.

Mark - it's Pete on a wind up
Which is why you agree with it all and go with the flow

I currently on Half Term, typing this on holiday. From my yacht. In the Med. Driving back in the Ferrari later on. Ready to teach tomorrow.

Fookin easy really.

Yes, I've got an attention span than lasts longer than 25 seconds.
Although this thread is beginning to get in the way of my holiday

Plus it's been done before. With the same characters too.
Glad I don't pay a fee for these repeats

I know that PSL is a troll who gets off on winding people up and I told my wife this.

However, she still thinks that the authorities would be very interested to read some of his posts. I just need to find out which school he represents, although my wife feels his so called facts are so wide of the mark that he probably isn't actually a governer at all.

I'm sure that I'd have most of SN behind me if we were to take him down, so if anyone has any info as to school or location please PM me.

My wife is not some wet behind the ear NQT, so I'm sure Pete doesn't need reminding of what can happen when a troll's little joke can get out of hand.

Oh, and to the OP, yes it could be worth a try, but it is a lot of hard work and the pay doesn't get interesting until you've done a good few years. You really have to want to do it, though. I think we all had teachers at our schools who left suddenly because they couldn't cope.

I bet you & your wife also complained to OFCOM about using the term "speciale needs"

And no, most of SNet is not behind you, PSL is a L-E-G-E-N-D so I doubt you'll manage to "take him down" at all......
