Default Latest commission piece...

Been a late one getting this finished - can you tell

Done this piece for a nice guy called Phill over on 205gtidrivers.com

The car started out as a stripped 205 GTi which would do the odd 1/4 mile run... then it got serious Currently running a supercharged GTi-6 engine, with the 6 speed box mated to it and oober weight loss.

Spec he wanted was quite simple, main view of the car in the middle with the Santa Pod start line towers overhead. Then him setting off in the bottom left with him crossing the line in the bottom right. The times are current (pre supercharger) and overall goal.

Off to meet him at Santa Pod at 9am this morning - it's a 2 1/2 hour drive and I haven't been to bed yet

Hope you like...

I've got another 30 or so progression pictures of the piece in stages if anyones interested.

That's really good. Wish I could draw or paint.

Btw I notice the car doesn't look exactly like the original, has he modified it or have you applied artistic licence to make it look more aggressive?

How much would you need to charge to actually make it pay alright? There must be a decent market out there with all the car forums on the go.

Really, you noticed that

It is modded as per my original post. Stance is how it looks. I only used artistic license for the colour highlights. Made certain elements more profound as per Phills wishes.

Oooh too much loo! Well overall the above one cost him £200 and he was oober chuffed this morning when we met at Santa Pod so gave me another £50

Took me at least 100-120 plus hours so unless I charged a fortune it's not a feesible employment choice. Do it for a few quid on the side and the look on peoples faces when they get them Nice feeling when you've made someones day!!

Not upto me Les, but most of my other customers have previously wanted to show off their pieces I've done for them. I'd be suprised if Rich is any different as he loves his car

Phill wanted a moody B&W piece with some "artistic" colour highlights to make certain aspects more predominant, like the times on the finishing line or the logo on the 'Santa Pod' towers.

Has anyone noticed he asked me to put the Stigs helmet on him yet
