How dare you![Embarrassment](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/redface.gif)
I had a nice little earner on that one. And what harm would it have done?
Yours faithfully,

Karzai is a joker, the corruption goes from bottom to top in that country, from local 'dignitaries' with fields of poppy, to Karzai at the top protecting his minions. Roll on the next election.

He does have a point. There is a bad history with Russia, and you cannot expect them to be happy of a foreign nation running around your country uninvited.
Although, he is still a ****

After the long bloody war with russia the one that let the Taliban take over and send the country ti the dark ages it is hardly surprising that they don't want Russsins rocking round Afganistan again is it.
Afganistan used to be a very different place check this link.

One photo of pre taliban afganistan showed teenage girls in mini skirts walking past shops on a kabul street. Its amazing what years of bloody war does to people.

Ive seen pics of the before, and walked around the after, and I cant see how anyone with whatever amount of money can pull it back from the state it is in now. A real shame, seeing the kids really brought it home, made me think about my own, especially as I was long term seperated from them and the wife at the time.

I still don't understand why western pharmaceutical companies aren't allowed to buy the Afghan opium crop for morphine and other opiates. The Afghan farmers are obviously bloody good at growing the stuff and it would give them a legitimate market.
