This is unbelievable. Is being a member of said political party illegal? Do the BNP advocate or engage in terrorist activity?
This is fascist.
A government persecuting its political enemies.

Pledge: Michael Gove said he couldn't see how membership of the BNP 'can co-exist with shaping young minds'
Headteachers will be given new powers to sack teachers who are members of the BNP or other 'extremist' groups.
The previous government ruled out banning BNP members from teaching after an independent inquiry decided it would be 'disproportionate'.
But Michael Gove, the education secretary, said he couldn't see how membership of the far-right party 'can co-exist with shaping young minds'.
His decision to overturn the existing rules follows the case of a BNP activist who used a school laptop to post comments describing some immigrants as 'filth'.
Adam Walker, a teacher at a school in Houghton-le-Spring, near Sunderland, wrote on an online forum that Britain was a 'dumping ground for the filth of the third world'.
But he was cleared of racial and religious intolerance by a disciplinary panel in June.
Mr Gove told The Guardian: 'I don't believe that membership of the BNP is compatible with being a teacher.
'One of the things I plan to do is to allow headteachers and governing bodies the power and confidence to be able to dismiss teachers engaging in extremist activity.
'I would extend that to membership of other groups which have an extremist tenor.'
The move was welcomed by the NASUWT teaching union.
General Secrertary Chris Keates said: 'I hope this is something Michael Gove takes forward as quickly as possible.
'It is an important part of safeguarding the interests of young people.'

Like being a leftie liberal teacher then?
Going to sack the majority of the teaching profession then? The BNP should fight this as hard as they can. As others have said, the BNP is NOT an illegal party so there is no lawful way this can be implemented, surely?

As awful as that comment is, it is the way a lot of people seem to think. You just need to read NSR![Big Grin](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
What he is a member of, should have no bearing whatsoever on his teaching capabilities nor is it anyones business but his own
Loads of kids will hear and see much worse in their own homes, on tv and even on games.
I very much doubt any adult, and certainly not a teacher would press his own personal views on young kids.
It's just more downright nosiness by the powers that be.

As much as I don't agree with the BNP, I do agree people have a right to choose and if the teach sticks to his teaching and not preaching then in my opinion they have no right to sack him/her ..
Its the same as a Muslim being sacked for his beliefs .. if the teacher is being monitored and doing a good job, who cares what their beliefs are ?

i would beg to differ under new labia . they wanted more and more control over the people , more new law etc invasion of privacy need i go on . the more people dependant on the social and working for the system the more control the system has over them lets face it all goverment workers would most likely vote for whoever keeps them in work and golden pensions , as for the socially dependant big shock in store if cameron sticks to his guns , cant see it though cos that would mean less people to have control over , we need licences and permission to do all sorts these days . banning certain dogs , permission to put flags up on YOUR OWN property , permission to extend ot alter your own house , the hassle i had to build a extension for my disabled son was beond belief . its all been done over the years slowly but surely undermining the freedom of people in this country/ look at the facts new labia where firmly anti family unit , proven by the fact that a couple on 50k per year with 2 kids where better off financially splitting up . and what does that create (more single mums dependant on the system) also proven by the fact that a couple working on 24k per year with 2 kids where only £4 per week better off than a single mum on the social . laugh at my rantings if you like thats just the way i see it and cant see cameron making any massive changes, thats the one good thing left in this country , everybody is entitled to thier own opinion, opinion and thought police will be next new thing lol

It will be interesting to see how the teaching unions react to this ![Ponder2](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/ponder2.gif)
I can remember a teacher we had a school who would do nothing but spout left wing ideology throughout lessons![Cuckoo](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/cuckoo.gif)
Nobody ever did anything about him, despite frequent complaints, beause he was too well protected

It is true that nothing will change with Cameron, because everyone seems to be psychologically conditioned into thinking that the welfare state as per the GB model is a wonderful thing.
I guess this is the benefit of having the government providing not only the education for the masses, but also a large part of the information that is broadcast to us through a QANGO whose mission is "To enrich people's lives with programmes and services that inform, educate and entertain". Feel find a better example of patronizing middle class bullsh1t if you think you can.

Er, yiou said Islam could never accommodated into liberal democracy, so if you don't want it banned what is your solution?
We either allow all political organisations a voice, however distasteful their views may seem to some of us, or surely we become no better than those nations we criticise for subjugating their peoples.
