GamesWorkshop Space Marine 'game'
anyone know any thing about the Games Workshop Space marine game.. or warhammer stuff?
as I have the Space Marine box set and paint, I bought in 1992.
is it a collectors item? worth anything?
I bought it to paint th figures, but got board, so they never got touched other than a primer coat and adding RED and some Green lol

Very Games Workshop
not sure whats its worth tbh,
I would suspect not much, do an online search for your local D&D group, pop
along with it and see what they'll give you.
Have a trawl on fleabay, and see what they fetch

Yup epic 40k stuff, though if its in good condition and I dont think they make it any more you may get a fair few quid for it
Now if you have Hero Quest or Advanced Hero quest, that goes for decent cash

The White Dwarf mags dont go for much unless they are special editions or one of the first 10 (I still have number 1 hanging about somewhere in a folder, must check to see if its still in good condition in the attic )

Very cool
Used to love playing Epic. You might get as much as £60 on ebay. unpainted and all on sprues could get you £100.
I just paid £100 for Space Hulk 2009 edition
http://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/5...-third-edition
Haven't got time to paint them myself and my skills are a bit poor so have commissioned these to professionally paint the figures. £150 for all the figures which isn't a bad price - I did get a quote from a multiple golden demon award winner of over £2K.

Just need to convince my 9 year old daughter that playing Space Hulk is better than Deal or No Deal

The amount of money i used to spend in GW would have paid for that new turbo i want santa to bring me.

Space Crusade and Advanced Space Crusade bring in more.
Space Hulk seems to be the big one. The 2009 edition was only released last September for about a week and almost sold out before it hit the shops. My Games Workshop receipt from the ebay seller is for £58.70 so not a bad mark up considering I paid £100.
If anyone is interested, once I get the figures back from painting, I'll post them up.

I've got the original Space Hulk (with an expansion pack as well if I remember correctly )
None of the pieces (Marines or Genestealers) are painted. I think the only bit of damage is some of the "aerials" on the backs of some of the Marines have snapped off (although I still have them in the box ).
I've considered selling it in the past but then when I look at it I get all nostalgic and end up keeping it!

I remember at school, loads of the other guys were into it and spent loads on huge castles and tanks and stuff. I was never really "into it" but I appreciated all the work that went in to it all and enjoyed seeing some of the amazing detail put in to some of the minitures.

All boxed (including Deathwing), as new I would say (apart from the broken aerials mentioned before). Probably only actually played it half a dozen times back in the late 80's/early 90's!

He rolled an 8 die, has a 3+ wounding on the twin link storm bolter, but the Games Workshop spawn of Nurgle shields itself with a aura of invincibility (his name tag) and manages to win the round and through SDW out the shop.
Least, thats how it would happen in the world of 40K
