I have FOUR of those little beauties, for which I paid out the royal sum in TOTAL of under £200.
You can turn the blue lights off, the sound quality is excellent and build is up to Technics usual standard.
My eldest has the early Technics pre-power amp setup in his room, which I donated him when I went for Cyrus stuff.SUA60/SEA50, 120WPC RMS with an onboard 18bit DAC in the preamp, and MC/MM input for vinyl.
Connected to Mission Argonaut speakers, it's mindblowing. He has his TV, X-Box etc all through it.

Can't beat the old Technics stuff I nearly bought one of the above when my old Sony went up in smoke. But like many mini systems it didn't have enough Oomph for my needs, so ended up repairing the old Sony and also getting a load of full sized Technics seperates.
Why don't Panasonic (ala Technics) make any decent Hi-Fi anymore? In its heyday you couldn't knock their stuff and the output power on the top end stuff was immense. Now one has to go smaller companies which lack the features (full remote control, toslink, etc) and are often overpriced, or you have to have a mini system which is nowhere near as powerful as the old school stuff.
It doesn't help when they fudge the output ratings on modern stuff: 100 new-watts is most certainly nowhere near 100 old-school-watts, due to them measuring it using lower impedances, higher %THD at single frequencies

I even have the tape deck somewhere in the loft, Dolby B and Dolby C, auto chrome and ferric sensing, full logic and remote control: In fairness I never knew how good tapes could sound until I had this deck. Obviously with CD-Rs and Mp3, its well and truely defunct (unless I dig out one of my old 90's mix tapes - god forbid whats on some of them ).
Still use the turntable - full remote controlled automatic jobbie (I think Panasonic bought the patents off BSR). Just need to press play and flip the record to play the other side. OK its not DJ stuff but its great for lazy vinyl enthusiats.
