Bearing in mind that Skyline only cost $10 million dollars to make I think it looks pretty good.
How much did Avatar and Independence Day cost? And their both pretty bad.

I saw it last night. Quite a good film. Tells the story from a single point of view (the friends in the apartment block) so you don't get to see the bigger picture. It leaves a lot of questions open and I understand there may be a squeal. Effects are very well done.
Not one of the best Sci-Fi films I've seen, but not the worst either. I'd give a 7/10.

I enjoyed cloverfield too - I'm quite easy to please when it comes to sci-fi to be honest. I like special effects and story's with some interest. I dislike gun-ho America Rulz mentality (i.e. what ruined Independence Day).

I like some of James Cameron's films especially the first two Terminator's and Aliens, but I'm finding it difficult to forgive him for Titanic.

Watched this last night on sky, what a rubbish film, they have taken plots from independence day, cloverfield, war of the worlds and rolled them into one, nothing really gets explained in the film, it finishes weirdly too. IMO buy some paint and watch that, it'd be more fun.

Watched this last night - it's pretty bad like!
The end is one of the worst I've ever seen, but it's not like it's great up until that point.
The characters don't do anything, don't go anywhere, don't develop, change or learn anything. For the most part, they are just there until they are not.
