Hi, does anyone know if i can sorn a car off road ,without having the logbook back yet ?

You need the document reference number off the V5 to sorn it.

It only took a week or so to get my new log book back from the DVLA.

If you have the reminder, yes. Otherwise no.

Did you photocopy the original V5 (all sides)? Doc ref number is on that. Re-apply for sorn after getting the new certificate too.

Helpful note: Always photocopy EVERYTHING you send to the DVLA (including cheques preferable with the return form behind it with reference details visible) - trust me on this; the amount of stuff they "lose in the post" is unbelievable - and they'll blame you for non-reciept of anything due to them.
