Due to snow, the money vans can't get to 'em to re-fill 'em.

Oh yes... but I never carry cash, and as our little local shops don't take cards and neither do buses (as only 1 out of 3 cars weren't under 4ft of snow and we both work 30 mile apart), I boxed clever and took some out, so £80 is a lot of money for me to have at any one time
Anyways, I'm not a panic buyer.. and we secretly needed the money for pizza delivery

Maybe I eat more meals
Breakfast - Lunch - Dinner = 21 meals per week
Two people = 42 meals per week
Two weeks = 84 meals for £80
Maybe you don't eat breakfast or lunch
And snacks are not included.

My C.O.B food expenditure analysis assumed two meals per day against domestic usage. I did not factor in external spend: Texaco meal deals etc whilst out of the house. We've not taken in to account that the subject's spouse is 'eating for two'.

The missus does a monthly shop for us and its around £100
But to be fair, i eat a lunch at work that i pay for, and any tipple after work i usually provide anyway, its rare that i eat breakfast, and if i do, its usually something picked up on the way into work.
She only ever buys fruit/veg and some meat, she never really buys processed stuff so maybe she saves money that way?
She winges that it costs too much before she moved in i survived on ready meals and loafs of bread

If the problem statement said that £80 represented the domestic grocery bill then that would be different

No, we eat well enough. A mix of Asda stuff and branded stuff too. We get a lot of stuff on offer. The Mrs has a wide appetite but I generally eat crap and admit enough
We are obviously much wiser shoppers than some on here if £80 over two weeks for two people sounds too little
Actually edit that as she's eating for two and then there's me as well
I take cereals in a tub to work for breakfast, Nat will take the same or fruit/yogurt. I take a packed lunch for my dinner at work (sometimes a curry or pasta ready meal as the ones from Asda are generally good and filling), Nat gets her lunch provided at work. We will eat tea at home and maybe snack before bed. I'm at a loss to see why this seems so little? Is it maybe wen you earn more you naturally spend more on shopping or don't look for the bargains as much??
