Default Samsung Galaxy S

Since I've got my iPad I don't really play with my iPhone 3G so I'm going to sell it on and buy something different to learn. They still seem to fetch a reasonable amount of money.

Enough to buy a Samsung Galaxy S second-hand. Are they any good? Is this a good phone to play with Android? Any other recommendations?

Thanks,

Steve

I have one and love it.

if you get one and root it aswell as download an install the android SDK you could have a lot of fun if you can get your head round programming android.

Even if Samsung say no, it will end up available as a rom

that's the beauty of open source & rooting

That is true, the creator of my current hero rom can not wait to get stuck into 2.3.
