Soaps, Plumbing new depths.
For example Eastenders dead baby thing, why cant they just have a nice Christmas for once ? Cockney knees up and perhaps a punch up for a bit drama ? what will they do for next Christmas, Ian Beale defiling the corpse of the recently deceased Dot Cotton and then serving the evidence in the "Caff" as smoked meat ? anyone "nice" in Eastenders, i.e. hasn't murdered anyone is usually some fat simpleton or dopey ****, the younger attractive ones are all pure evil by and large, I wonder what message this drivel sends out, would rathe rmy kids watch Resevoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction !
Coronation Street seems to be as bad, the wife explained about someone using the Metrolink crashing as the opportunity to stove someone's head in.
I think that the Soap's are pointless, most series start and perhaps have a few series and then ends, the whole premise is bizarre, kind of like real life, i.e. goes on for decades for most but without most of the mundane stuff, it relies on drama and there are only so many things that people can do to each other, the same characters in the same setting with occasional changes, bloody Ken Barlow, fifty years of the same po faced ****, he has had an affair every five years since the sixties, no way would he get that much action.
Will any of them ever end ?

These sh**y programmes could make a trip to disney land depressing!
I havent watched one soap since i was 14 and that was a while back and then it was mindless crap with grant and phil grunting alot and beating thier mum up.
seen better stories and acting in a straight to dvd van damme film (kinda, well no but you get the idea)

lol the amount of times i see this bandied around for the slightest issue is unbelievable
Makes me laugh, every tom dick and harry connected with an incident gets counseling, apart from the ones who scrape the bits up. That's there job, they just get on with it

According to the wife, if you think the ronnie mitchel story is in poor taste then wait until the gay couple decide they want a baby and the white vest one has to **** roxy to get her up the stick.
The ronnie thing gets found out at the dead babies funeral.
Phil buys RnR then puts roxy and ronnie mum in charge and then has a heart attack.
This is how hair dressers fill their quiet times!

I totally agree with J4cko.
The mrs used to watch Coronation St until a few years ago when it became similar to EE. ie full of people having affairs and general winging.
I now live in a soap-free zone
I often flick through the channels and see a few seconds of Eastenders. Usually someone moaning, arguing or just general sadness. What sort of people watch this without becoming depressed or getting silly ideas from it?
As mentioned sometime ago, my dad use to sing along to Eastenders themetune..
