Just looking to renew the insurance on the wife's car, (average 1.8 jap saloon)
We both have max no claims bonus on each of our own policy's, , but Ive
had two claims. The usual suspects throw up quotes ranging from £300 to £1400 (lol)..bit of a jump from her last renewal of £180!
Did some digging around and found by going direct to company A, i can get the premium down to £233, great ....
Erm ..No, as ive got an current open claim, the premium goes up to £260, not too bad....but!! they then wont give her any protection on her no claims
??
Laughably if i remove myself from the policy, it goes up to £288?? work that one out
So undeterred, i did more surfing... and found another company, (company B) who will cover us both, and with my open claim and protected for £254, not too bad![Smile](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Now what makes the whole thing laughable is, company B is a subsidiary of company A
Yet both company's come up with very high quotes when run through comparison sites
And they say there competitive![Frown](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/frown.gif)
