Get a Crock Pot. You can put the pot on the stove to brown the meat then stick it on the slow cooker. Chuck the left overs in the fridge in the pot then stick it in the oven or on the stove to reheat. They cost a bit more but you don't have to use a separate pan to brown and bowels to put leftovers in etc.

We use ours a lot as it does meat beautifully. It doesnt matter whether you spend £5 or £50 as they all do the same job. Only one that would be worth spending more on is the crock pot as Jer says, as it would be handy to have one you could brown the meat in first.

Mine cost a tenner from Tesco. Hasn't been used much, but putting a beef casserole in it in a bit.
You can chuck a lot in, but make sure you brown the meat in a little oil with the onions. Dip beef in flour first before frying, thickens the gravy a bit.
I do curries quite often, chicken breast comes out lovely in the slow cooker, not so keen on anything with a bone in it as I'm a bit squeamish when it comes to bone marrow, lol!

I went into tesco today to get the £12 value one, when i saw this tatty half opened box at the back.
pulled it out and it was a crock pot one. it said you can cook with the pot on the hob, microwave, dishwasher safe etc etc
I got the trusty ipone out and did a search, found out the price etc.
as there wasnt a price on the shelf, went up to customer service, and they said £17![Smile](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)
