selling house -diy sell or estate agent
ok house worth approx 220,000 in scotland we still have the home report (hips).not desperate to sell just fancy a different location closer to shops etc.may have to pay more for a better location.do you think its worth a diy for sale sign etc.pros and cons.last house was half above price and sold in two days(boom times)through estate agent.this time it could take up to a year.any one have any recent experience.

I Used to be an estate agent, with the agents they will sell the house for you and deal with all the solicitors etc etc Kepps you out of it all and try and make it as a easy move as possible, down side is they can take 2% of your final house sale price
With no agent you will have to sell the house and deal with all the solicitors your self can be very stress full indeed, if you feel confident doing it all then go for it and save your senn a few grand, but becareful as you could have anybody come vistit if you do it this way, with the agencys they will have the ppl on there books and know the position they are in, ie sold or they have not sold etc
Good luck
