IMO Yoza was a good poster despite of his watch threads.
For me, he specifically landmarked his SN participation with his response on the thread by Jacko called something like "When we were poor..........".
I took Yoza for a good poster.

We can't all agree or like the same things. It would be bloody boring if we did

There was definitely a distinct substance to his posts that I happened to read, which I admired.

Please, for the sake of Mary, mother of God and all the orphans, don't bring back those tedious fecking watch threads. I've had as much as I can stand of them.

That's no excuse for his actions, but if we permanently removed the persons who were responsible for the initial baiting, the situation may have not have escalated in the manner it did. If we noted the pattern of users involved alot sooner, maybe the outcome would have been different, who knows?
Keep pushing someone and they will react. Although call me cynical, could that have been the whole intention to ensure he did get banned?

Of course, that only happened because a certain known group of users hounded him.

Also if the other users involved should have been repremanded/banned/beaten (oops can't say that) earlier the mod team would now need to stand down as they missed the entire problem
Eitherway I don't condone anyone being like that regardless of how pushed they are, real life being a differnet matter with face to face situations but on a forum there is no need especially as he could have just ignored then using a built in function and also reported it to you guys.
I never really had much of a discussion with the guy myself.

You may or may not be right Ali, we will never know however on the fact that it did happen can be discussed :-)

So maybe in hindsight we should have banned everyone involved, and doing it alot sooner (be it only temporary bans), but instead we gave everyone benefit of the doubt. In effect giving them the shovel to dig their own holes with, so each time a mod request was ignored or they made an abusive post, the deeper their hole became. In the end, some people ended up being banned anyway.
This hindsight was confirmed when we were allowed access to outside information/forums some time after the matter had been dealt with, confirming to me at least there was smoke before the fire and a few people were indeed out to stir up trouble on SN, be against the forum as a whole or just certain users, however by then it was too late. On the plus side, it does help to provide us with background information, and is useful to keep tabs on things incase anything similar happens again in the future.
