Plastic Surgery - why?!

I know you are about to reach a certain, shall we say, ripe age David but why are you looking at this?
Oh and I agree, what were they thinking, they just look like freaks.

Lesley Ash.....Quite fit in men behaving badly so what made her get those lips done
It's been reported in the tabloids that a german big brother 'star' has died following a boob job, unfortunate but avoidable.

I suppose for the famous it is all about looking good...however it seems to fall apart within a short period of time and can leave some looking a little freakish.
Boob jobs I can understand as sometimes they are for confidence (do not understand why though as you should always be happy with who you are)
Also I can see the point if you have a disfigurement but just for vanity or to follow the crowd I cannot see the point.

I think if you are 100% happy with your body then you are very lucky, and I am very happy for those people.
I think celebs get things done for different reasons than average people.
It's as if they feel the need to better themselves in order to get one step ahead in the business.
When you are in a job where your looks are high on the list of importance, I think (especially women) they feel things need to be done. There is always going to be younger and fresher actors out there ready to do more to get ahead.
For many people, living with something that can make everyday seem like you have a black cloud above you can be hard, but that is what it can feel like, no matter what it is.... a wonky nose, big teeth, birth marks or small *****.
No matter how small and insignificant those things are to the rest of the world, that one small 'imperfection' can cause a lot of sadness on sombodys life.
I think it is very hard to understand the mentality behind feeling like that, unless you have actually been in that situation.
Some people grow up, and learn to love their body, despite it not being what they want. Positive thinking and being thankful for your health can be enough to make someone happy in time.
Others simply get more anxious and self aware as time goes on.
It's not always as simple as "look at that tart with her fake *****, I bet she loves herself".
That is a very narrow minded point of view. There is a much bigger picture to see.

Getting old in the Hollywood circle is a mortal sin, so they panic into going for all the surgery which as we see often makes things worse and look unnatural.
People who just go with the flow look far better, and are usually happier too.

Each to their own I say. If they want it done, have the money and are happier afterwards well why not?

What a mess
I have never understood it. Classics are Mickey Rourke who has gone from a real looker, who was aging well, to an absolute freak.
Britt Ekland is another one. She was looking fantastic for her age, now she is a mess.

An old friend at 67 has got her chin done for 4 grand, she gets her undereyes puffed up with gel so often, and she is due to undergo another surgery, costing her another 4 grand to tighten her neck. All of that is an age reversing process for her, not a corrective surgery after some crash or something. Her undereyes correction looks so very wrong. It looks as if two strings have been ineserted, and the top "whiter than white" skin is now blue! She has to live with two black eyes now, which she disguise with foundation. Terrible IMO.
I was talking to my 18 yr. old daughter about all this cosmetic and plastic surgery milarky. She said: " I don't justify it." I said to her: " Well, you may feel different when you get to that age and state. She exemplified with some "pruned to ****" talented rockers, and said "Mum, in my opinion, older people look very interesting and attractive with their wrinkles. Their face tell a story of their vast experiences in their lives."
That was quite a cool persective IMO.

Julie Christie was another one. Was looking good, then ruined herself. Looks weird now. Not overly, but not right.

Plastic surgery is one thing, but one can easily notice that "botox" thingy on people's faces, even. I spotted Kylie dancing around on XFactor as a victim of "fillers gone wrong" problem. Her forehead looked so plastic and pumped up that many would have loved to launch a pebble at the target, to draw the filling out and put her out of her misery.

If you dont medically need sugery ( like these idiots who are just terrified of aging) then avoid at all costs as
1. any surgey carries the risk of complications ( even death)
2. Any form of invasive cosmetic surgery is risky and not permanant ( plus makes you look so vain and terrified of the natural aging process)
3 The above makes you less atrractive ( something these types want to avoid at all costs but often end looking bad when they were naturally attractivly aged before)
