That must have been fantastic! Great live band and after 5 days on the V and A waterfront last year I can imagine it being a great setting for a gig. Was it in the Cape Town stadium? Any Nelson Mandela rhetoric from Bono?

yes it was in the new Capetown stadium , and what a superbs stadium it is , and yes Bono was on about Mandela but a total Awsome experience, as for wind surfing bit to dark to do it as it getsdark around 8:30pm and U2 came on at 9:30pm so u could of done both :P

I read they are having difficulty filling the stadium the rest of the time though . And that the unfinished bus route to the stadium / bus shelters were under guard cos peeps were trying to live in them. Apparently they had to postpone a SA football league game as power had been knocked out cos of 'cable thieves'

lol your right , as for the bus lane , they built the tracks in to Capetown but forgot to order the buses , and yea all stops have guards now to stop people living in them , well this is Africa
