Via Virgin Media.
Apparently I'm special and have the chance of winning one for a year, must be all the bloody money I spent with them!
Does sound interesting though, if its anywhere near as good as their on demand function it should be very useful.

I would LOVE to have the chance to try it.
*nod nod, wink wink* to that person who has my details.
It's been in the US for about a decade, so it should be wrinkle free and more than ready for the UK Market.

Your not special at all, the really special people had an engraved TiVo sent in the post and a free lifetime subscription
This is what the VERY lucky people got sent http://tivo.virginmedia.com/johnsmith
I had a series1 TiVo 10 years ago, cant wait to get my Virgin one

I remember watching Sex and the city years ago when one of the characters got Tivo installed, I couldn't wait for us to get it over here! It seemed so amazing to be able to record ACTUAL tv!
Sadly that was about 2001/2002 ish and there was no sign of Tivo
Eventually it's here

My S1 Tivo stopped working last year after nearly 10 years of brilliant service. Good job I didn't shell out for a repair as they are about to stop providing the TV guide, despite people having lifetime subscriptions.
Good luck with the new ones

I've got Sky+ and an S1 Tivo (oh, and a Virgin Vbox)... I never use Sky+ (just as a receiver) and my Tivo is the best thing since sliced bread - I love it and use it all the time. It's upgraded with various bits (larger HDD, TurboNet card, TivoWebPlus, Yac, etc.)
However, whilst the Tivo is working fine, with the advent of the VirginMedia/Tivo tie up Tivo Inc have now announced that they'll stop supplying EPG data come 1st June (which will effectively stop the box being of any real use). IMHO it's a nasty (but probably contractual) move by Tivo to force current owners to pursue a Virgin solution - especially annoying to Tivo owners with "lifetime" subscriptions to the Tivo EPG service, and even more so if they're not in a Virgin cable area!
Whilst there are moves afoot from a dedicated 'community' of S1 Tivo owners to start offering home-brew EPG data to current Tivo owners (which I'm quite interested in watching) I'm also very eager to get my hands on a VirginTivo.
My Sky+ box, Virgin vBox and Tivo could all be replaced - and bettered by the Virgin Tivo IMHO (especially once all 3 tuners are enabled in a few months time).
I'm just disappointed that the traditional blue Tivo GUI is changing to Virgin red - but I'm sure I'll get over it!
