I went to see a medium last night
So, a friend asked me to go with her and I wasn't really expecting anything, but I walked out last night having heard things that were just amazing.
Has anyone here ever been to one?
I went last night, expecting nothing, and wanting to be proved wrong. One by one I watched as each person was spoken to, but not me or my friend.
At the end they let us ask them a few questions, by this point a few people had left and the one medium (a man) came and stood by me abd my friend.
He was wearing a long sleeve shirt, and had several tattoos. I couldn't see what they were earlier, but when he came closer I could see the 'keep the faith' (fist).
This prompted me to ask him about a song I heard him humming earlier, but he said he had music spinning around his head all the time.
Then randomly he came out with Luther Vandros - Dance with my father. One of four songs played at my dads funeral.
It got even weirder, but I won't go on as I know to some it's all a load of tosh! Until last night, I thought it was, but the 15 minutes that followed was one of the most amazing experiences I have had.
I honestly though that all the spiritual medium stuff was all based on how you interpret what they say. But nothing was open to interpretation, they were spot on the money.
Their were so many other things about him stroking his beard, my daughter, a birthday at the time he died (my son).
I'm still shocked about it now.

I have watched a few of them on tv, and thought what a load of ****!
I would have walked away last night totally pissed off and having wasted 3 hours.
It was only when I spotted the tattoo that I said something. A few people had already left by this point.

You seek connections through suggestion, and then "amazingly" you link them up and "praise be... a MIRACLE!"
It's similar to my pulling technique in a way

A good cold reader can talk to you and you genuinely feel that they have known you for years.
The Barnum statements are classics.
With you it worked because he picked up on the song and that led to a great foundation for a cold read.
You have to guess that in any audience there will be two or three women where Dance with my Father was played at their father's funeral. Once you have the hook a skilled reader can seem brilliant.
There is a card trick I do. You select a card - they are all placed randomly face down on the table and I ask questions that result in cards being taken off the table.
Here is the trick - I never touch the cards - you remove the ones that you select. And yet the one remaining card will be your original choice. It is mind blowing to most people - how could you have known? How could my simple questions lead you to the right card?
Exactly the same techniques.

I'm not sure what to make of them. My Dad died when I was young. Still miss him tbh.
Anyway, my brothers girlfriend at the time , was really into this type of stuff.
They went along to a Doris Stokes night. Part way through, she brought my Dad's name out. My brother would not stand up, he was stunned.
He is a person who has to see it in black and white before he will believe anything. But this did bug him, as she went on and on about my Dads name, wanting to contact. After 10 minutes of this, my brother left the building.
He won't talk about it to this day. I would love to know what happened.

The only reason I spoke to him was because I saw his tattoo.
I don't think anyone could possibly undearstand the importance of that, and I do still stand somewhat sceptical about it all.
However, I did not speak to this person, removed my jewelry before hand abd still they managed to tell me things (no feeding) about things even I didn't know. But it managed to really freak ny mum out when I told her.
Little things about him getting his ear peirced, or not as the case was, as he chickened out. My mum got hers done instead.
That is something that I wouldn't have even needed to know.
There was so many things that was just odd, yet nice.

Yes.
I curiously attended a medium's public appearance in a spiritual fair. I thought she was flying the piglets all way through. She picked some people from the crowd with some plain bull e.g. "Do you have a fountain in your front garden?" "Who is that person (referring to a spirit) in brown jacket I am seeing behind me?" type of stuff. Everyone was sort of confused with her one-sided waffle. There was nothing sure shot that came out of her.
I had a 1-to-1 with a medium/psychic reader as well last year, because someone was telling me how good she was. She also came across as vague.
I met one high-browed medium on a few occasions in someone's house. He pretended to go into some mad trance, and apparently connected to the God Almighty and to the passed via an invisible telephone Anthony Hopkins would have retired in shame after seeing this man's class act.
I also noticed that in the cases of first 2 mediums, they both kept repeating "Do you understand what I mean?" all the way through their speech. I felt like saying, "No, I don't! What I do understand is that you are pretty bad at talking to the thin air."
So, not really any amazing experiences here, in all honesty.

Seriously i think some are probably for real, never been to a medium myself but my sis is actually quite psychicWithout going into detail on here,i have come close to death myself 3 times when was kinda at the point of well this is it.Each time something happened that got me out of it which i think about still at times.
Obviously loosing someone you love is an emotional time in your life, and i guess people go to mediums etc hoping to find answers/get some understanding,i think you just have to go in what you feel.
