Another TOP GEAR thread !!!
I put the Scooby in the Autotrader a few days ago, I put our lass's phone number on the ad because I works nights and dont want waking up in the day
She had a phonecall yesterday morning from someone claiming to be from TOP GEAR asking if we would be interested in them using the car for a feature they are filming for the new series !!
When she phoned and told me I just said "yeah I know, Jezza has just left after mowing the lawn for me "
Well he gave her a contact number which she googled and it was a BBC number, so she tried to call him going through the BBC and was put through to him
He then sent her an email with the details of what they had spoke about, I have seen this email and looks geniune too
He asked if we would take the car for them to film for the feature, he explained that any costs would be covered and we would be catered for but did warn that there would be a lot of waiting around, but we would get a couple of tickets for the show when thats filmed

Well the filming was yesterday, we got there about 8:15 and were asking to put our cars into position, ( there was around 10 other motors there for the shoot ) we got the all into position for around 10ish when Jezza turned up in a 60 plate Aston
All of us that had brought our cars were shuffled off to a coach that took us to a local pub were we stayed until filming was finished, so we didnt see much of it, they did come and film outside the pub for a while see we did see a little more
We had breakfast and lunch plus drinks all catered for by the BBC , and we met a couple of geezers with an Evo who were a laugh
They gave us all a signed Top Gear Mag and we will get a couple of tickets for the actual show
So the day wasnt a complete loss, although it would have been nice to see more of the filming and maybe even meet the presenters it was pretty much what I was expecting tho !

No, they never even moved the car, it was for a static shoot, they did choose two which they took on the road, not a track in sight
they covered fuel costs so the day out cost nothing
and we enjoyed the day, food good, weather great, Beer cold blah blah blah

Sounded like a nice day out for you. Wonder if I can reel them in and put my Fiat 500 up for sale. It's special to me, so I'm sure they'll want it

You should have looked up the stratos feature mentioned above!
I would not let the Top Gear lot drive any of my cars cos they treat them like $hite!
