Very, very gutted - we were all rooting for Judd. Without him it would have been a boring, soulless championship. That said, Higgins's tactics in the final frame were completely :

It wasa very good match, deserving of a final in a world championship. They both played really well, Trump made a couple of errors which probably cost him the championship but Higgins deserved his win anyway.

Shame, backed Trump from the 1/4 onwards , got a good run for my money, I was hoping Higgins had backed Trump at 10/1 as well, for a while it looked like it .
Higgins will always have a question mark over his head imo, although he showed his class and character when it mattered, sign of a champion.

It was a very good final, excellent play by Judd Trump though, this young lad will be a world champion, no doubt about that and his style of play has shaken the game up, it was exciting to watch, he still has a bit to learn but he is still only 21, id expect him to beat Mr Hendry's 7 times world record as he really does have alot of talent
Good for John Higgins though, he has been through alot in the last year, though really im only watching if the Michaela Tabb

I doubt anyone will beat the 7 of Stephen Hendry, John Higgins probably has another 1 or 2 in him but he's getting on a bit now at 36.
Stephen Hendrys record..
1990...21
1992...23
1993...24
1994...25
1995...26
1996...27
1999...30
Runner up in 1997/2002. No one will ever touch Stephen Hendry at his best in the 90's, he was a genius. He's well past it now though.
Judd trump was good, was exciting to watch. Only time will tell if he's any good or not.

Can't understand your last sentence about whether he will be any good!
Winning the Chinese Open and a close second to the World Champion can't be bad surely?

I really enjoyed it, watching Trump was brilliant, the ***** that the seasoned players would have played safe he went for and mostly potted. You had no idea what he was going to do.
Can you use the word exciting to describe a snooker match?
Fair play to Higgins though, I think his experience won it for him

But in the same breath, he was the most boring player in the world to watch, I prefer to watch the likes of Ronnie O'Sullivan and Jimmy White or just about anybody who has the ***** to go for it and take the big shots rather than play safety like Hendry.

There have only been 3 players worth turning the TV on to watch imo in the past 30 years.
Alex Higgins
Jimmy White
Ronnie O'Sullivan
Agree with the comments about the Chiny Sweaty with the spots, snoooooooze , no one down the snooker halls wanted to be Hendry, the least popular player of his era imo, and that includes the nugget.

You may find he has to calm his play down, hit the ***** a little more gently and focus on the boring safety side a little more in order to become a great
Hendry was a genius that will not be matched, he has a few televised 147's under his belt and he holds the record for most century breaks too, I never found him boring in the 90's. Boring today yes, as he has aged, but back in the 90's he was an entertaining class act. To win it 5yrs on the trot is a major achievement
Trump may be forgotten about come 2012 when he's binned in the 1st round at next years event, to be any good, you have to do it year in year out, that's all I meant.
