If your 5 kids need you so badly don't go out nicking other peoples property then you wont have to go to prison.Also if he got 8 months you can assume he has about a 1000 previous convictions so he will have no track record of putting his kids first.

Well I was shocked at 4 AM today..... I went to Tesco, and saw a femail police officer shopping .... she had her Astra marked police vehicle in the car park

Are police vehicles insured for social , domestic and pleasure ?

I was going to point this out. I don't think this idiot is bright enough to read the human rights act and come up with this brilliant idea on his own. There's a legal expert behind him advising him. It's just plain wrong.

Can't believe the state of mind of the judge who was hearing the case either. What planet does he live on? Does he realise that when he or his mates pass such non sentences that the crims say yes sir no sir and at the same time are laughing behind their hands?

Prison is no punishment any more and rehabilitation is just a big joke and is brought up by those in charge in order to save cash and to hell with protecting the public any more!

They should bin all the holiday camp style of imprisonment, calling the crims "Mr" for example and send them all out for a really hard day's work such as breaking up stones in a quarry as used to happen. Put them into a chain gang!

They just might start to make them think that prison was a place to be avoided and that crime is just not worth the hassle.

So - If I have got this right - I just need to father five kids, split up with the mother ( so she also gets accommodation, paid for by the taxpayer no doubt) then go out on the rob safe in the knowledge that even if I am caught, I'll be let off. - It's a green light for the underclasses to fvck us all over. Rob 10 properties - get caught once - get let off. Where's the disincentive?

I'll be taking this up with my local MP - SORT this out or I'm going to vote the way I really thought I'd never have too.

The problem with this case apart from everything mentioned above is that English law is based upon precedence. So now every person who commits a crime and has children will cite this case as a reason not to go to jail. Madness.

Yup, Jenny's brothers ex partner has 4 kids by three different blokes, she has never worked a day in her life except cash in hand. She is fully subsidised by the tax payer including her council house. Her two brothers are both heroin addicts and her 16 y/o son sells weed, has done since he was 13/14. Complete and utter chav-scum the lot of them and no wonder the kids are turning out the way they are, her two boys always in trouble with the law and the 12 y/o daughter bragging on FB that her brother got her pi$$ed on Amaretto and how nice it was. The mother does not get any support from any of the three the fathers because none of them work, except Jenny's brother and she is worried she will be worse off if she does.

I do doubt she is a one-off and all the more reason to get the lifestyle unemployed out to work doing whatever!

Wonder what has happened to the British Bill of Rights we were promised by the PM before the election.

Seems to have gone the same way as the referendum on the Lisbon Treaty which was also promised.
