So police just left.
After hearing some noise outside I went to investigate opened the front door and was confonted with some guys with masks on. After a fight that went through my front porch and onto my drive way I was overpowered dragged back inside cable tied up had a pillow case put on my head and petrol poured on it, They then demanded money car keys etc and off they went. What a night. Tomorrow I am buying two very big rottweilers. Here is a tip if you hear a noise outside don't give it charlie big potatoes and go unarmed thinking you can fight who ever is there. Look from the window and if in doubt call the police. Fighting three guys is hard.

bloody hell mate. Really sorry to hear this there are some real scum bags in the world. Hopefully they get whats coming to them.
Hope you and anyone else in the house arent injured badly.
you wont need two though one is enough

Bloody hell! What a nightmare! Sorry to hear that.
Hope that you are as ok as can be expected? Don't blame you for wanting a big dog, I would do the same, but what are the chances of them coming back?

Luckily my son does not live here and my girlfriend hid upstairs. I told them the house was empty and they diddnt look too hard. I told them where there was some money and my kitchen is such a mess that they diddnt find any keys they could match to the cars outside.

I dont post here very often but after reading this I thought I had to.
Last January 4 masked men smashed our porch door in and front door and took the keys for my wifes st220 from her hand. They phsically ruffed her up and laughed as they where on the way out of the door.
She was in the house with my 2 and 3 year old children as I was away at the time. After some investigatin by the police they found the culprits but due to lack of evidence could not secure a conviction.
The bit you might like to know is that the 4 so called men turned out to be local scum who did this kind of thing for fun and where not part of some extended crime ring or bigger and badder things.
Like us it sounds like you where unlucky to be targeted and I hope you get over the ordeal quickly, I can totally sypathise with how you must be feeling.
Dont let these mindless numties ruin your life.
+1 for the bug dog, Alfie the Labrador went f,ing nuts as they tried to kick the door in!!
