Default customer service? lol

I just found out I needed a servo and master cylinder on my car, so I located one on ebay, and asked if it could be with me tomorrow?

they said yes on email but there would possibly be an extra cost, so I decided to ring as I needed an answer asap, talked to a friendly lad and he said no problem we can have it with you tomorrow with no extra costs , I thought great and pressed buy it now and paid, when I paid I put a note on it saying that they had agreed to send it to be with me tomorrow.

got a phone call 5 minutes later from dean a manager saying they couldnt do it as they didnt realise it was saturday tomorrow unless I paid £25 extra! I just said look mate its not my problem, explained andy had said that I could have the delivery inclusive so what am I supposed to do about it, ive paid and have my reciept get it sent.

he told me to pull my head out of my **** lol, I was like what? have you really just said that, I heard a voice behind him saying I cant believe you just said that to a customer, he went really quiet, and then came back and said what is it you want.... isnt that obvious? lol, anyway they agreed to send it with a £10 refund in way of an apology.

10 minutes later they are trying to cancel the transaction on ebay, I refused the cancellation and rang back only to be told to **** off! lol they say you will leave us a negative if we continue, I said this is going to help is it? get the part sent get me a refund and of its right ile leave appropriate feedback.

unbelieveable!

metro city parts in bristol, avoid!!

They can't leave negative feedback anyway, so tell them to do one.

You have a contract with them. Verbally they agreed to the delivery at no extra cost, I ain't a lawyer , but I think sales of goods act 1974, as described, might come into it. Speak to a lawyer or citizens advise.

Wrong i'm afraid.

Distance selling regulations mean it is perfectly acceptable for a retailer to rectify a mistake in pricing. You cannot expect the goods if a mistake was made with the price.

Sounds like bad customer service though

Doesn't matter. If they made a mistake on the listing, they have the right to not honour the price

I had a similadr thing on ebay.. A scooby parts specalist - if it doesnt fit / needed we will refund you. I got a newer one the same day so sent theres back un opened - I had to take a £40 'removal' fee. citizens advice do ****. I spend ages with letters blah blah blah to find that if the part is under £150 and it goes to court I could pay out more then it's worth.

Now i only buy from shops I can go to...
