Has anyone had a kitchen from Focus DIY?
I don't think I have ever been in one of their stores, there's not one that local to me. But seeing as they are going to have a massive sell off I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with their kitchen range?
I was going to do the kitchen in my house in the next couple of months but if they do nice ranges and it's going to be cheap then I might bring that forward.
Reason I'm asking here is I'm stuck at work for the next few days and their website seems to have been restricted quite a bit.
Many thanks.

You can probably pick up a few bargains, but as for ordering kitchens i'd be careful,Focus DIY have gone into Administration they are closing the stores.Already customers who ordered kitchens etc will only get a refund if they paid on credit card, others may not get anything back..

I haven't heard of them before, just done a little search and they do the exact range she has been after. Just phoned them and said I need to pop in and open a trade account and they will release their price list to me.
Oh, and they are two miles from my house.
Thanks.

Ah, I hadn't thought of that, I did get two cracking kitchens from MFI when it closed down, but that was a case of turning up in a van and sorting the cash out round the back with the shop manager.

been fitting kitchens for years now and they are all much the same as in the units are mostly 18mm now but the bit you notice are colour matched insides/edging quality of hinges/drawer runners/soft close etc etc but any kitchen can be dressed up to look exspensive/good quality alot of it is in the fitting if your doing it yourself and need any advice give us a pm

Cookie........if you are getting appliances as well, Howdens may recommend a make called Lamona. Don't bother they are pi$$ poor quality.
Kitchen stuff from Howdens is OK though

Thanks for the tip, but we already have our appliances, Got a rangemaster in the closing down of MFI. I think I may have to order one of those overpriced SMEG fridges to go with it. Only thing I will need is a dishwasher but I can shop around for that.

If you look closely on the Wallace and Grommit cartoons they have a SMUG fridge
Best of luck with the fridge hunting, we have a whirlpool which has a smaller "freezer" part than we liked...........I've been waiting 10 years for the damn thing to break down so I have an excuse to replace it LOL

SMUG
Not really fussed about the freezer/icebox part as we have quite a large separate freezer in the utility room. The price varies wildly on these fridges though, a quick search the other day saw nearly £400 difference between retailers on the exact same item.

howdens kitchen are ok just don't let them or any other company design it for you without getting a kitchen fitter to check it as they are all useless in my experience

Funny you should say that, I went to B&Q the other day for some bits and bobs and parked next to the lawnmowers was.................a row of fidge / freezers. The Samsung one was dirt cheap
I was just a bit shocked to see them in a DIY store
