Wife just rang as she had a phone call from an Indian sounding lady saying they had calculated we had overpayed by £4600 on our utility bills and the government were paying us back this money, how would we like to receive it, straight into the bank then just give us your bank details.

Yeah right !

Cos the goverment are so benevolent that they want to give us back oney thats nothing to do with them and get India sounding ladies on a crackly line to do it, when pressed as to her name and where she was, she came up with "Janet" and "London" after a pause, no company name.

These f*ckers are I think invading my home via the phone, I am on the telephone preference thing to stop this but still get plenty of calls, I am getting more and more unpleasant with these callers.

I like going down the obsessive religious route and try to get the caller to take jesus into their lives and ask them to sing hymns with me! I had a chap get almost halfway through "Kum ba yah" the other week!

I had some foreign sounding lady call me and tell me she was with Microsoft and they had detected a problem with my machine. I stopped her at this point and asked which department and where they where located along with which operating system i was running? She was unable to answer, i wished her a horrible and painful death and that it should happen soon...

It's hardly worth answering the home phone these days as all it I get is cold callers and scammers. I did get a phone call the other day though asking for the garden of eden brothel
