DONT EVER USE M&S car insurance....
What a bloody joke. I have the above insurance on an old T reg Renault scenic. The price for the year was just under £450, I have been paying since January and have paid £270 so far. Just called them to cancel it because I have brought a forester s/tb and they are trying to charge me another £170 for cancelling early lol. They told me they would take it by direct debit so I said I would cancel the direct debit so he turned around and said "I still got your card details from your initial payment so I will take the money from that". Need I say I called the bank right away and the only way round this was to cancel my card and order a new one... grrrrr last time I ever use M&S for anything...

Never cancel insurance, you get stung for the remainder ..read your T's & C's
Just have a mid term change , Usually about £20 admin.
they then recalculate the change between the two vehicles, and split the cost over the remainder of the term
That way,
You gety a years NCB
You dont get hit for cancelling

Just had the same ***** with Endsleigh on the runabout. Shifting from a C-Class Merc to a 3 series beemer.
Endsleigh wanted an extra 170 (suspicious) to insure the new car to december. Their cheapest quote was £475 for the year as a "mid term change" when it is really a new policy.
Told em to stuff it and went with the AA for £375 plus £25 cashback. Refund from Endsleigh £150 on a £400 policy as they take off £9 commission and there is a £50 cancelation fee.

I know it is STD t&c as have changed insurance many times it the past but £170 extra! That is just daylight robbery. I would have changed to the new car but it is a Jap import and they don’t insure them so had no choice... Well they can take a jump for the money, just found out today that I will prob be made redundant tomorrow so if I don’t have the money they can’t have it.......
