Default Off to see The Eels...

In Brighton -- went to eBay on the off-chance and got two seated tickets for £20 for tomorrow (Wednesday) night.

No point to the thread ... I just like The Eels, never seen them in concert and I'm excited about it. I'm 42 and don't get excited very often any more

No ... I live in East Sussex near Winnie the Pooh (100 acre wood) and work in London. Brighton is just 45 minutes away.

Well, I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed that.

And my not-too-bothered wife hung around like a groupie, got a hug and autograph from Mark Everett and a photograph with the bass player ("The Chet").

Did you get "Your Lucky Day in Hell" ? one of my favourite Eels tracks.

How was E in the flesh, always strikes me as a very intelligent and interesting person when I have read interviews with him.

They didn't play that ....

He was ... quiet and shy. And somewhat freaked when my wife asked to hug him!

From the new album (with Mark Everett looking less like a terrorist):

Very excited, off to see them this evening.

Included is indoctrinating my 9 and 12 year old daughters who are coming with me.
