Default Mobile phone contracts

I walked into a vodafone shop last week and started a new contract, its supposed to have Bt openzone as part of the package yet I have no login details for this and I can't find it on the site. If I decided I wanted to hand the phone back to then, saying I'm unhappy with the contract? Can I legally do this as its only five days since I signed for it in the shop?

Everything is in the box as it was, I have only took the phone out and used a few times as I still have another phone which is my main one.

Thought Vodafone was 7 days - maybe that's just for new contracts setup online.

You just login to BT Openzone using your vodafone account login and password apparently.

That just says if you have it on the contract you need to activate it? I have searched the site for 30 minutes and can't find out how to do it.

If i bought the phone online I wouldn't be so bothered about this but I specifically went into a shop and paid more cash for the phone so I got proper service so I expect this to be sorted for me by the shop??

Yes as above, 14 day cooling off period if you are not happy. After the cooling off period its bloody hard to get it cancelled.

Its just taken me and the missus 8 months of correspondance and the threat of legal action to get out of a mis-sold contract with Carphone Warehouse!!

14 days iirc and you may have to pay for part usage of the contract (the duration you have had it + any calls you have made etc if not in the package already)
