Decathalon do some ok tents for the money all depends how much your going to use it.
I take it by the fact that you have to ask your not a seasoned camper, just pick one that you can stand up in and maybe have some space in.
After many years of camping i think bigger is better if your not backpacking as the weight/ size is not an issue if your in a car, bigger ones take slightly longer to errect but are well worth it if the weather changes. mine has stood up to some quite heavy winds and rain with no problems, and a lot of campsites charge by the person not the size of the tent.
my current one cost about £100 from decathalon and has seen about five years service, it's a 4 man 2 bedrooms and a communual area in the middle with enough space for a table and all the cooking stuff.
Best one i ever had and i would not go back to a smaller one.
They also do the throw up ones if your just after a festival type tent they are perfectly good i got one for my dogs.
Cheap wind deflectors are also a good buy.

Whatever you get, make sure it doesn't have yellow on it, I borrowed a mates this time last year for Silverstone and as soon as it was out of the bag, milliions of fruit flys decided that they were going to live on it for the weekend

How big do you want it to be? I have a Kyham biker and its a great little tent for a day or 2. However if its wet its a nightmare as its a sleeping tent only, you can bearly sit up in it let alone stand up in it.
Edit: I can put this tent up, by myself in 4 mins flat. friends couldn't believe it, so timed me! All the main pild a re intigral to the tent, and are snap locks. Only the pole on the porch has to be assembled and threaded through.

Also have a Kyham, think it was a Tourer 200 but I can't seem to find it on their web site. Great tent, while it's only two birth it has a large space for sitting in / cooking etc. I can stand up in the middle and I'm 6ft3.
The quick erect system is nothing short of fantastic, I can have the tent up in less than ten minutes and be cracking open the first beer of the night while others are still fighting to thread poles through sleeve and trying to remember what goes where.
Previous tent I had was also a Kyham, not dissimilar to the one above. It was fine when it was just me, even had a rather wet two weeks in Scotland without too much issue, but it was a bit cramped with the missus. It lasted for years, finally giving up at a rather wet Glastonbury developing a large tear when I took it down.

Just bought one of these ... http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B...9M1DMA81XTPN4P ... have put it up in the garden but it'll have its first outing Saturday night. It was a pressie for my lad's 7th birthday recently and seems to be big enough for our needs; 2 adults and him. It'd be 'nice and cosy' for 3 adults mind ....

Before answering.
How long are you camping for?
Are you likely to do it again?
Will it be wet?
I have an Outwell Harford L 4 man tent that I would consider selling.....including carpet!
I like the Outwell stuff, and would buy another, probably the Vermont.

I maybe a tad bias on this as i work for a certain tent manufacturer but have a look at the links below. Very good tents at very good prices

fffuuu £100 plus for a tent... i paid £11 for mine and camped all over Europe last year with no problems... got a little chilly in the Alps but nothing that wearing all my clothes to bed didnt solve..
edit: that was from B&Q and was a two man dome tent... comfortable for me and all my bike gear that stayed in the tent with me.... leathers, lid, boots, luggage etc

Personally i would go with either of the 'Elan' tents.
Both are vey easy to pitch.
Both have large living areas that you can stand up in (for wet days/nights)
Hydrostatic Head of 5000mm on both tents whereas all others suggested on here are around the 2000 - 3000mm mark (i think!)
To be honest most tent manufacturers tend to copy one anothers designs anyway so there probably aint much to choose between them.
I would deifinely adbvise steering clear of the likes of Aldi, Lidl, Halfords etc. I have heard some horror stories of people packing up at 3am and driving home as their tent was leaking, poles breaking in light winds etc.
