Default Boris Johnson

Is he for real ?

I really thinks he comes across well and genuinely seems to work for Londoners and doesn't seem self serving like most politicians.

What do you reckon, genuine and affable with a slight Berk tendency or good actor ?

I really like Boris, always have. As for the good actor bit, I think he plays up to the image sometimes but behind the gaffs there's a formidable intellect and he's as ruthless as the rest of the Bullingdon Club set.

Ken Livingstone just seemed odious even without doing anything wrong but I seem to remember he did blot his copybook, cant remember what, quango type stuff I think, his face and voice made him guilty in my eyes.

Boris is a good egg - as he would say

Actually I thinks he makes a good Mayor and is not afraid to face up to Cameron if needs be. I should confess that I didn't think he would pass muster when he was elected but I was wrong (a very rare event I might add ).

Brother Ken seems to have mellowed a bit from his crazy GLC days and now comes across as a decent enough chap and he certainly cared about London. Lot more go about him than Millipede.

Boris for PM then? Anyone else noticed that Dave seems to be the only person allowed to talk for the government...he just seems to hog every TV and radio news broadcast!

Yes he's got a good mind as is well read especially in classics etc.

I definitely trust people like Boris - who are somewhat cultured - more than the awfully ambitious apparatchik types who Labour seem to have been made up of from Blair onward.

Culture etc puts a brake on a mans sheer ambition I think. It gives him perspective.

Livingstone and his awful 80's hard left mates were just about pure ambition and lust for power. They thought they could make London a city state with themselves at the top of the table.

Unfortunately Hague has stated many times that he'll never again (want to) be leader of the Tories.

Our loss, I think.

Yes, that and comparing a Jewish jorno to a concentration camp guard (yes apparently he knew the chap was Jewish) He pretends to be so 'right on' but is a nasty piece of work.

Boris is brilliant! Even the youth of today like him.

I could never see him as PM because we'd have a similar problem as the US had with Bush.

I think he is a likeable and popular chap and as a politician, although he is a cut above most of them, he is as sharp as a tack and will always have his eye fixed on the main chance.
