Default Why Do People Have No ***** These Days?

I agreed a price on the HSD coilovers you many have seen on the for sale section. Since then I have booked a guy to fit them, who I am going to have to cancel, and have wasted my time trying to ring the seller and email him etc. trying to arrange to drive the 60 odd miles today to pay and then pick them up. I now see he has sold them and disappeared into his cave ignoring me and my calls.
Why can't people just man up and say they have sold things from under other people? No *****......... and no honour, if you agree, you agree.

These things whilst very annoying will invariably happen. Just put it down to experience and move on. As they say what goes around comes around.

Moved on! The rant was my closure, at least until he comes on here protesting his innocence............

From 4 coilovers to one rear nearside strut, that was all I needed really........shame.

If I ever sell something I always say it's provionally sold but if someone comes with cold cash I will take it.. first come first served.
I will how ever always tell the origonal person it is sold... * I will obviouslty tell the first person that first with the cash will get it..

Myles - had you agreed to purchase but not paid? Personally I'll not wait forever for someone to pay up if there is a queue of people wanting the item.

I accept that but agreed price at about 11pm, then PMed him next morning to clarify he took them off a 5x100 pcd car. There was no reply. He agreed to me going over to see them which is what I was trying to finalise. I dont think that is excessive?

If the guy didn't even give you 24 hours before reneging on the deal he's a complete a-hole.

^^ Agreed. I'm talking about a few days / a week even.

I sold my mtb recently & the purchaser took about 3wks to pay! They did drop me a deposit to hold it though

The Coilovers for the money are spot on, apart from one issue which im either going to take up with the Raceland or sort myself. One rear shocker clunks when the rear shocker on that particular side becomes weightless (over large rises or bumps) I spoke to Raceland direct and got a replacement within a week, which when coming from belgium is very good, howeve rthe replacement is excatly the same The ride and handling is pretty much unaffected, but the "odd" clunk from something new isnt a bit of a mith. I believe they are now on eBay for £300

It's gone to hell in a handcart. It's not the first time either, I mafe an offer on some gauges, the guy declined then Pmed back offering to sell them to me. I was in an area where 3G is rare (Wales!) and it took me 3 hours to get back to him, in which time I made payment. He sold them to someone else in that time, wven though he sent me his paypal address to make payment. The world is being taken over by c@nts!

I must say that he did refund my money asap and was apologetic, unlike the stroker with the coilovers.

That is utterly c@ntish. When we bought our house in 96 we looked at another before and agreed a price, the guy then kept changing his mind. My mrs got upset about it all, and I got angry and told him to ram it. Got a much nicer house 3 months later.
Hopefully there is a crumb of comfort there, Fantom.
