I have their recovery plus which doesn't include homestart but now need car recovering to a garage due to knackered suspension - Citroen C3. Getting it some distance from the house would be the thing to do - not sure it is at all driveable - or if I ring them do you think they will allow me to pay the difference and upgrade?

I wanted to explore the options before calling them but result is pretty much as expected. Yes I can upgrade for £20 but I have to wait 7 days or it is an emergency call out of £115 on top! A lot cheaper to get local recovery. Thought I had homestart on the policy. Probably didn't bother as I would expect it to be things like flat battery or flat tyre which I can deal with.

Any one with break down cover with the likes of AA or RAC who is covered as a driver/passenger in any car can claim to have driven/travelled in your car to your house and then broken down when trying to leave
. Job done.
