I've grown some peppers in the greenhouse this summer, next year i want to do chilli's, courgettes and a few other things. Is there anything i can start now, or is it too late.
(i've got some garlic bulbs growing, but thats all atm)

Brocolli definitely, think you can do hardy potatoes too Google it (bit sad I know) but there are forums like Scoobynet just for vegetable growers I do a few summer bits, peppers, chillis, tomatoes, spring onions but I'm thinking of doing some winter stuff too, I'll post here if I find anything else

There is stuff like winter salad and spring onions you can grow if you want quick results. Garlic should go in November time and needs a good few frosts on it to grow well.

This made me lol because my (26 going on 6yr old) boyfriend decided a few weeks ago to plant some of the radishes we had in the fridge, we now have some little radish plants flourishing in a pot!

I am cool as a cucumber dude
I used bulbs any good garden centre will have a large selection.
I also did some shalotts (sp) with goog results, avoid carrots as you need the correct soil and they are so cheap it's hardly worth the bother.
I go for the plant it and forget it type stuff, a good herb garden is worth it's weight in gold, as there is nothing quite like useing fresh herbs when cooking if your a person that likes lots of flavours in food, which i'm guessing by the chillies that you are..
And salad is a doddle my mrs grew some mean rocket and some equally tasty red and green lettuce.

I've just planted some Pak Choi in pots as an experiment the other day to leave outside. They have sprouted already, so hoping they take well. Apparently they don't take long, so should be ready before the frosts. I also planted some chilli seeds in a pot on the kitchen window sill to see what happens. Hoping the kitchen is warm enough for them as I don't have a green house or conservatory for them.
