one less scumbag to worry about

Not that I condone what the other two prisoners did but I can't help feeling a certain moral satisfaction that he got what he deserved. Am I wrong to think like this or is this the view of the majority of people on here. A heinous act against a child, morally taboo in a modern western (and probably other) culture. The peado who was killed was to be detained indefinately so would have posed no further threat to children. What do the rest of you think re punishment to fit the crime. Do you think this new "Bill for Britain" that will replace the HRA will go some way to toughening up on crimes like this or other morally reprehensible acts?

Bit of look they did it to him slowly.......dirty cooooont deserved it
Years ago I was stopping in Glen parva for a bit of r and r , I saw first hand what they do with sex offenders....they threw a kid down concrete stairs and all rushed down to stamp and kick him before anyone could get to help him.......iirc the kid hung himself
No loss in my eyes

Harrison, who was serving a minimum of four-and-a-half years for raping a 13-year-old girl, was found shortly after 10am on Saturday.
4 and a 1/2 years for raping a child - no justice!
Child rapist killed in prison. Justice is served...just a shame they could do Huntley at the same time

I agree with most people on here. I don't think he will be much of a loss, plus it saves the taxpayer picking up the bill for his keep. However, I don't think it should be possible for that kind of thing to happen in a jail in this country.

It is obviously very difficult, this is the problem. Not having been in prison I am not that familiar with the daily running of them. But, you are right, it is very difficult to monitor them all the time.

mm, im in two midns about this one. I dont condone murder, but on same note, couldn;t happen to a nice guy.
i hope they do get extra time inside, but a lieniant (sp) sentance.

Playing devils advocate, how would you feel, if he had been a member of your family? Would it still be right for an inmate to kill a member of your family despite the crime he committed?

Trouble is people like that are stupid and full of righteous indignation, not very often do they get chance to feel superior, they are not the judge and jury and thinking this is a great is fine until someone causes some malicious rumour and you end up with a baying mob hunting you down.
The pervert was serving his (limited) time, it isnt up to other inmates to come up with their own sentence, no great loss by the sound of it but I dotn see it as a cause for celebration.

He probably would not have been with "killers" since he was a sex offender
They're usually segrated so that the "killers" and other criminals can't knock the bollox out of them.
This ***** boasted, most likely with his own kind, and got what he deserved
So what ever he done must have been pretty sick

Chap in question sounds like a NPOW, serial offender etc so no sympathy on my part.
Pedo's are the lowest of the low, it's a sickening crime (as a parent myself it is abhorent beyond understanding) that deserves far harsher punishments than we see get dolled out ... rough justice in the end then.

i can see this as a celebration, having had to deal with paedophiles trail of destruction in my life time.
you get longer sentences for much less serious crimes - infact most other crimes are less serious IMO.
i wouldnt bat an eyelid, to me they are predators of the worst kind, spreading/encouraging child abuse, some rape babies ffs!
you can be in prison for such petty crimes - not all are axe wielding maniacs. so to me they can take the moral high ground if they want.

It was the third time Harrison, originally from Wolverhampton, had been in trouble for sexually assaulting girls.
When he was 13 he was given a formal warning for indecently assaulting a seven-year-old and when he was 15 he was taken to court for threatening to rape a 15-year-old classmate.

But would his death be ok if he had been your brother, son, best mate, etc? Would you still see it as a deserving death?

It's pretty common knowledge that "regular" criminals don't take kindly to sharing air with peadophiles and react with their own type of prison justice, ironic I know. If he's openly spoken to other inmates about why he was there then he deserved it IMO

Personally, if any relation or friend of mine did anything like what he did, then they would no longer be part of my family and definitely not someone i would be friends with. Sounds cold but that's how I see that situation so I wouldn't care less about them being killed because of it.

In all honesty, it would seem that he got what he deserved, but I just don't think I could accept that as a fitting end despite what he did if he had been my brother, cousin, son, close friend etc.
