Onions!
I hate them, they have make me retch. I got myself 3 lovely smelling sausage rolls which the bakery told me didn't have onions mixed in......
Half way through the first one and bingo onion city, the rest in the bin.

The taste of onions doesn't actually bother me, infact its quite a nice taste, its actually the texture of the onion that causes me to retch. I will have to make do with my my cuppa coffee. This is infact the first jar of coffee, I've bought in about a year as I have got a bit tired of tea. She's a good cuppa!

Most of the dinners I prepare at home usually start with chopping up an onion or two. It's the basis for so many dishes and very good for you too. Personally I love 'em in all forms especially pickled

Producers seem to put onions in most stuff now.......and they are rarely mentioned on any list of ingredients.
My lad doesn't like cooked onions. I USED to buy him a full Quiche Lorriane from Tossco, and he cut it into 5 for a piece every day with his lunch at work.
Now they have started using a supplier who thinks the recipe would be better with onions......

I like onions very much: Lightly fried in butter or in light batter.
BUT as I get older they start to disagree with me and give me stomach cramps and resulting wind. Sorry for sharing

I can't stand onions in any way shape or form! Yuk!!
Like has been said, they are in pretty much anything which is why I end up cooking most things myself. Life would be so much easier if I could just buy something like a cottage pie, or pizza. It doesn't help that I'm not the best cook!

I love/hate onions.
The majority of supermarket ones are just too strong; tarty and heartburn inducing. I just can't eat them raw without having to chew on a few Rennies afterwards.
But on the other hand a yokel pub by me prides itself on its cheese and onion cobs. And the (locally grown) onions they use are super sweet. The are so sweet and mild you could eat them like an apple!
My mate at work has given me some his that he's grown on his allotment; they almost are size of a football, so should be alot milder than the crappy small things your get in supermarkets/grocers.

Onion is a funny one for me. I hate the texture when cooked, and even raw, I'd have to really want some for me to take the leap and eat it. However, I quite like the taste. Alot of food I won't eat is because of texture rather than taste.
That said, it's best I stay away from them full stop as they really aggravate my stomach (existing problems). Garlic does too, but I really like that.
