What Phone?
My G/F's phone is due for an upgrade, but she isn't getting an iPhone, as I pay for the contract, and don't want to increase it any more per month.
What smart phones are worth getting, which are preferably free, can watch video's on (while on a plane etc), have decent/fast internet, nice screen etc?
Cheers

I would say Iphone dispite the cost.. I has the 3gs as i was impressed. yes it is expensive but the only thing that wound me up was sometimes when it was ringing you swipe to answer and nothing happened...
I got the HTC HD7 and yeah it's new so not like the Iphone but it really is rubbish...
Death grip, poor battery life and you can't use it in the sun.
Get the Iphone everytime....

I've got an iPhone, but didn't want the little lady having one too, mainly for the extra cost I will have to pay. But is there really nothing comparative to it?

Or get an iPhone 4S and then use the find a friend app to track her movements (of course getting the app running before you let her have the phone).
Go to a store and have a try of them all, after all she might not even want some of the features that most of us pay through the nose to use.

I've already got an iPhone, and do think it's the best one out there. But my g/f doesn't need an iPhone, so looking for alternatives for her
Did think about the Galaxy S2 earlier actually. Is the Nexus Prime suppose to be something special?

I think the reveal is on the 19th but no details yet on pricing or networks yet, if the specs live up to the rumours then give her your iPhone and keep the Nexus for yourself.

So what features does the "little lady" need if she doesn't "need" an iPhone? Most smart phones do the same sort of things as an iPhone now, so just curious as to why an iPhone isn't appropriate apart from the cost?
I have a HTC Desire, not HD, which is a great phone for me. It even makes phone calls and sends texts!

I recently got a free white Galaxy S2 on o2 for £27 pm. I could of got it cheaper, but had the 500meg bolt on.
Personally Ilike the phone, but there are a couple of bits I don't like.
Contacts. Once its got your facebook contacts on there and you want to text someone, it comes up with all of the contacts you got and I mean all of them
And as I have pork sausages for fingers, it can be hard to use the qwerty keyboard for texts/emails etc.
But other than that it appears to be spot on/ Can watch good **** vids from the net pmsl
Have a nosey through this site:

A lot of the shops use this site for any news and info on any phone
I use it all the time and it is pretty damn good
