Peter Kay and new material? That's a shocker
Loved a lot of his stuff, especially Phoenix Nights but when you've seen 'garlic bread' done about 20 times he started to wear a bit thin.

Saw him at the 02 earlier this year. Ticket was £45-50 from memory so not cheap. Was ok but not amazing. Venue size of the 02 didnt help imho. Did like his encore with the shovel guitars and pyrotechnics
But overall far preferred Jason Manford at nice small venue Reading Hexagon.

I saw him live (for the first time) at the MEN a couple of weeks back - had a really good night.
It's a tidy earner for somebody as we paid for our tickets in December 2009!

we went to see him a week back at the men,
while it was very funny, he did draw no some of his old stuff, if only to bring it in and if you have seen some of his shows then it feels a bit samey,
my only problem was the length of the show, ticket prices were about £50 each with all the fees and what not, he did 40 mins in the first half then 50mins in the second half, and it left me wanting a bit more, but i suppose thats the sign of a good act, it really did go quick

I've seen him three times, the last time at the Hammersmith Apollo, he just didn't really cut it for me, and I was a big fan. I was was really looking forward to his Route 66 programme, having driven it myself. He just seems to be an old man now, maybe time for him to slip away into retirement?

Saw him in the Odyssey in Belfast a while back, first half was old stuff, second half was all new and the double shovel routine was very good, well choreographed with his 'band'. Lots of beer helped too, he was looking rather fat and had plenty of makeup on too.
I did get 5 seconds on the big screen as he came out with the camera on his shoulder, we were lucky to get the seats immediately behind the lesser abled.

I saw CB at Sheffield City Hall in January 2007 and he was weak. Im not a massive fan, although some of his DVDs have made me smile: I went with someone who really wanted to see him and even they were disappointed....

Billy Connolly is sadly well past his best as demonstrated on his recent Route 66 programme. He really has lost his appeal.
