My youngest has gone to Perth today with my Mum, to visit my sister for a holiday ![Big Grin](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
The Mrs has been blubbing every time some one calls to see how he got on at the airport ... (i told her not to come when i took them, as i know what she's like lol)
He wasnt bothered when he said goodbye, (man / boy thing???) to either of us lol
She's just checked the flght status, and it turns out then jammy beggar is on one of the new Airbus 380's ..
wish i'd gone with them now

Guy who works for me in Perth came over for a meeting with us in Calgary and did one hop of the journey on the 380, he said his brother was flying it and he got upgraded to Business Class, I thought hmm, pity that, he sounds like a bit of a Billy Bull****er here but he showed me a photo of him and a similar looking bloke grinning fromt he flight deck of a 380
sometimes people just do cool stuff !
Lucky me got "Premium Economy" on Thomson or Thomas Cook or something, there were a pair of daily mail reader types, he seemed to think he was a high roller for paying another 100 quid to get some more legroom and was expecting First Class type treatment and was thinking he would get on first, it a bucket and spade airline not Emirates First you tool, he was really arsey about not getting to sit there with Champagne was the plebs file past, sorry but it costs four grand for that pleasure mate !

I once flew as a passenger with my crew in the back of a Herc to Nellis AFB just North of Las Vegas.
It was unbelievably noisy and the vibration never stopped. The Herc has a high pressure hydraulic sytem and there is always an atmosphere of oily haze in the back. The unions always leak a little oil continuously!
The whole trip was 29 hours worth of flying and in the final 2 hours I thought one of my navigators was becoming mentally unhinged.
Luckily we brought one of our own aircraft back home when the exercises were over.

Best i can manage was sitting near the back of a chinook with the bay doors open.
Odd thing is i get horrible sea and car sick, and yet i loved every minute of watching the ground whizz by, as he was showboating a bit.
And yet never been in a jet.
