'Movember' - raising awareness of prostate and testicular cancer
My name is Mike, and i'm a man.
Movember is all about raising awareness of male illness, with a key focus being on prostate and testicular cancer. 1 in 9 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime, it kills one man every hour. Testicular cancer is the most common cancer in men aged between 15-44.
This year I am part of 'The Minstaches', a team that so far consists of 14 people from work (bizarrely including one woman!) who are trying to raise awareness of 'Movember' through spreading the message and growing a moustache Over the next month I will no doubt be growing a ginger one
Being a car forum predominantly used by males, I thought it would be nice if you could put one less litre of fuel in your car at some point this month and sponsor me that amount instead. It would make very little difference to you but would help others who need it. If you don't wish to sponsor me then that's fine too, thanks for reading at least now you know a little more about what's going on.
My link and how to sign up if you fancy giving it a go can be found here

Thanks my 'Mo Bros' and 'Mo Sisters'
Mike

Doing it as a company too. should be a huge laugh, first time I won't have had a decent shave for more than a week since leaving Uni.
Don't know what 'tash to go for, thinking a Poirot sytlee.
Dreading the multi coloured 'tash though.

I am in charge for Movember this year at my office and trying to involve as many others as possible!
In addition to raising money for an extremely worthwhile cause, it really annoys the Mrs in that we have a couple of important social occassions in November and she is a true hater of the 'mo'

Good to see so many people giving this a go
I would have hoped that my 'donate a litre' idea would have been more successful though, only one donation from 250+ views! Come on guys, it's for a good cause, i'm only asking for £1.40 lol!

ive had mine checked a few times - not fun but just gotta do it if concerned
and one of my best mates had a tumour of sorts, turned out to be harmless, but still worrying times.

Well it's 'Mo Day' good luck to all involved with the fund raising and 'tache growing
If everyone doing it adds a link to their 'Mo Space' then we can all keep up to date with each other's progress
To anyone reading this and not taking part, please remember that it's for a great cause and that donations can be given during the whole month of Movember. Sponsor someone, even a quid will help make a difference!
