yes me surprise surprise

its not very accusate unless done over a decent period and averaged

after competing i was around6-7% bf, but gym equipment told me i was 47%, due to the amount of water my muscle ws holding

mirror is the best tool to assess fat loss imo

I hit some crazy diet over summer, was the ketogenic one (used for epileptics). Now just doing the no complex carbs after my midday meal.

Admittedly I did still lose alot of muscle (the little muscle I had), but I did loose it quick 10kgs lost in around 8-10 weeks.

Just my 5 cents. I am real gym nut but also an ectomorph so I guess losing size and weight is easier. As for the muscle loss, it does wind me up, but got a awesum power to bodyweight as a result.

Soz, cant tell you my bodyfat although have quite visible ABS so i guess its pretty low.

No expert, just an idea should you wanna try it out

Found an old black velvet skirt in my wardrobe the other day. It wouldn't go around me by about four inches!!!

Quarter wan*er, quarter dic*head, so that leaves 40% for weight and general day to day living and learning maths.

How the hell do you measure body fat
And what about boobies, I thought they were mostly made up of fat. Surely a large chest would make the body fat ratio a bit odd

Its all lies. i'm quite short but havebroad shoulders and big thights. my bmi is way off apparently according to some rubbish thing. i've developed a slight stomach and lost the outline of my abs and flatness after cutting back exercise due to injury and been told to take it easy by the physio.

BMI and height/weight ratio are NOTHING to do with telling you how much bodyfat you have.

There are models with low BMIs who are clinically obese in terms of their ratio of bodyfat.

From a health point of view, isn't waist size a better indicator for men?

Yes your right, but for the majority of the populous BMI works, its only when your at the extremes it dosent, an athlete would be classed as obese due to muscle weighing more than fat...

so how many inches are you carrying round the waist then?
