I've been doing alot of motorway driving over the past couple of weeks, and have found that trying to find shell garages when needed can be a bit tricky.

Anyway, I've tried to find something on the net which would have a map of all the shell garages in the country, so that I never have to put lower octane fuel than optimax in. I have found something on the Shell website, but it doesn't want to work under Netscape.... surprise at here

Does anybody know of another site? Or can we start our own survey? I know that Corley on the M6 southbound is shell, and the one south of Watford Gap on the M1 is shell too (can't remember its name...)

Dan,

If you ring Shell Customer Services, they will send you a free booklet with the location of every Shell garage in the country. Not only by address, but on a series of road maps too, which is extremely useful. They list every garage's phone number, as well as the additional facilities they provide. Indispensible.

The only thing i don't have in the office here is the Customer Service number. Let me see if i can dig it out, unless anyone else knows it? Any Shell garage will know it too, of course...

You won't be disappointed - it's more of a mini-atlas than a booklet. On my recent Cornwall trip, we planned our journey and meal-stops around it.
My wife was understandably highly delighted to oblige... :rolleyes
