Me and them locked in a room for 24 hours without fear of being prosecuted for my actions.
I cannot think of anything worse than what these vile *******s have done.
I hope they get whats coming to them in the worst away imaginable.

Jesus Christ!! What kind of a world do we live in???!!! These scumbags deserve to be tortured for their crimes, and they deserve a slow and painful death. I think we'd all like 24 hours with them!!!

Surgical castration with a rusty knife recently used to cut pooh covered raw chicken springs to mind as a suitable punishment, sealing the wound with an old office stapler that needs to be slammed shut to work.

I'm lost for words and not in a good way. How or why could/did they do it at all. I can't believe it was a one month old baby. He was defenseless. There are some really horrible people. I don't think horrible is the word.
I'm starting to wish I didn't read this.

At least if this baby is taken away and adopted or something it won't remember anything about this in later life. That's if he makes a full recovery...

How many more innocents must suffer before capital punishment is re-instated?
We are all scarred by sick behaviour like this. There can be no place on this earth for vile scum like these.

Two people have been arrested and released on bail.
So let me get this straight. You drop some N-bombs on a tram and you get remanded in custody. However, rape a 1-month old child and beat it to near death.....and it's cool. Enjoy your freedom till trial.
The inconsistency and continuous failings of the British justice system never cease to amaze me.

As the mother of an adopted son, I would have this baby in a heartbeat! I know the background of my son, and thankfully he was saved before any abuse or neglect could happen, some kids are not so lucky. His mum was abused as a child, and even though that is no excuse, people do not become this way unless something bad has happened to them. This does not excuse, no way, but you don't wake up one day and think that raping a one-month-old baby is a good thing to do unless you are seriously fcuked up. If you have no boundaries or reasonable parenting, this is what happens and it seems to be either getting more prevalent or more widely reported.
P.s. Anyone thinking of adopting, think of this little one and do it!

Yup, this has really annoyed me.
I accepted a point someone made that the dippy tram woman was refused bail on the grounds that she was at risk to vigilante attack.
Yet here, we have a couple who are released and without doubt will be found via the rumour network (neigbours/friends/family + facebook + twitter etc), and if not, there is a huge risk that vigilantes may get the wrong people instead because of this.
I know some peopel who wouldn't question knee-capping these people's friends and family in order to find the location of the ones responsible.
Or is it the whole intention? Let them out, leak a name and let them suffer the consequence under mob rule. Even though that doesn't bother me if that does happen in this isolated case (so long as they get the right ones), however the police and courts should not be this inconsistant. It does far more harm than good to the reputation of law and justice.

Bring back capital punishment and sort out the justice system. So that people think twice before doing anything like that.

Capital punishment will not be a deterrent for people who do this sort of thing. It does not stop murder in the US, so why would it stop a sick mind from doing these things? You have to be aware of consequences of actions to have a deterrent. I don't steal, vandalise or hurt other people because I have morals and a conscience, as well as knowing that there are consequences to my actions. Do you really think they were thinking of the consequences when they did these things to this poor child?

I don't know what to say.
Why do we continue to allow animals like this to live?
We don't try to re-habilitate a dangerous animal do we?
What is the difference?
