Red face Ouch!

See fifth photo here.

The Vauxhall corsa in the photo is clearly parked on double yellows, will the insurance company pay out? (Buildings insurance presumably.)

At home today and have had some serious downpour and crazy winds

Lost about 5 fence panels so far and the nice planters that I placed at the front door with two mini xmas trees have both gone over.

The upside is that I was thinking of taking down the xmas lights. At this rate they will be down without my help

I'm sure I read that on another thread!
Bloody windy in the south east. Thought our office windows were going to implode at one point!

Was he entitled to park there because he had a blue badge?

Of course the buildings insurance will pay out.
Why would they not? I think they should consider it lucky if no one was hurt that its just a few grands worth of car, not a bunch of school kids or something.

It doesnt matter where or how/illegal you park, if damage is sustained the owner will still be entitled to make a claim etc

Thats in Bo-ness just up the road from my work. The only thing they would be loading is pies into the car as thats a bakers they are parked out side

On the BBC website where that picture was featured there was also one of a house on the banks of a scottish Loch / River ( cant mind which ) which was on grand deisigns but now minus half its roof due to the winds.
